ISE 2025 – Innovation and lots of AI

ISE is now firmly established within it’s new home – Barcelona. For those who visited the show when it was in Amsterdam, it’s now even bigger, covering every aspect of communication and a huge spectrum of AV technologies. Here’s a few stats –

1,605 leading AV exhibitors
85,351 attendees from 168 countries
6 halls at the Fira Barcelona Exhibition Centre (LINK)

It wouldn’t be impossible to do justice to everything, so here’s a few things that stood out in the areas where we operate.

Screens

Micro LED technology was in the spotlight with Samsung’s The Wall  – a visually arresting, 462” immersive visual. Another impressive demonstration of micro LED technology was found on the Absen stand, shoaring a collaboration with the media artist, Refik Anadol, who produced a stunning AI-driven data painting on a 4200 x 6075mm KLCOB V2 display.

LG’s kinetic installation felt very much like an art exhibit, rather than a product stand. They captivated attendees with a blend of animation and art, using rotating mirrored cubes and LED displays.

Another visually impressive display was found at Lang’s Muxwave M3 Transparent Display, this used striking waterfall visuals, stopping people in their tracks – no mean feat at a technology conference.

Having won an Inavation Award for Upanel II MIP, Unilumin shared three new products. The Unatural Series which blends architectural elements with screen content in a semi-opaque display. When powered off, the Unatural display blends effortlessly with its surroundings, almost completely disappearing from view. Also featured was the Udesign SV, a screen mesh that appears transparent from behind but displays fully animated content from the front and the Uslim III, a creative indoor LED display for use in airports and retail spaces.

Philips also had a significant screen presence with Unite LED All-In-One solutions. This demonstrated a range of exceptional 4K and 8K dvLED displays with integrated control and audio functions.

Whilst screen technology is always moving forward, the ability to access the screen themselves remains a challenge for many organisations. We remain very confident of our ability to deliver safe and reliable solutions, bringing technology, access and usability together. Whether that is a static wall hung screen or an innovative touch screen trolley. Check out our range.

Meetings and Networking

The online meeting platforms – Microsoft Teams and Zoom continue to develop their services, with both companies showcasing innovative integrations of their technology at ISE.

Yealink introduced AVOne, an all-in-one solution for modern meeting spaces. Designed for easy deployment and management, AVOne unifies integrated AV solutions on a single network, delivering a seamless approach to meeting room technology. Another neat innovation on show was the Yealink MTower tabletop centre-view camera. Designed as a companion to the Yealink A40 and S40 video bars, it features AI-powered Best-View Switching technology, dynamically shifting between front and centre perspectives to create an instant, immersive hybrid meeting experience.

Away from the products and technology we enjoyed some in-person networking with the attendees from SCHOMS, catching up over lunch on two of the days. We really enjoy and value this time with the users and managers of AV infrastructure from across higher education within the UK. It keeps us informed about the current challenges, what the day-to-day looks like, helping us identify where we can help and add value.

Partnership

ISE 2025 saw Loxit showcasing products on the SY Electronics stand. We firmly believe in team work and this opportunity brought us together – sharing resources and supporting one another. Within the stand we featured the Hive Collaboration and Huddle products, showcasing the SY switching. matrix and control systems. Typical of the installations found within professional office space, education and conference services.

We also shared our Control Media Lectern, demonstrating the compact nature of the products and the versatility of the rack space within them. The stand featured Control 700 and 900 with rack builds by SY Electronics.

We enjoyed working with the team at SY and hope to return to ISE in 2026 with more new products and innovative solutions.

Environment

Thankfully the planet hadn’t been forgotten amongst all the glam and glitz of AI at ISE. We are pleased to see that sustainability and the awareness of energy usage/demand is growing across all technology channels. It was reassuring to see so many companies giving these messages space at ISE.

Philips sponsored the first-ever ISE Sustainability Hackathon, promoting its EcoVadis Platinum accreditation. They also showcased the Tableaux ePaper display—an ultra-low-energy solution that uses zero power to show static images and minimal power to swap to a new image. Something that we believe should become a display standard – fingers crossed.

An interesting example of sustainability and well-being leading product development was found on the Logitech stand with Spot—a sleek sensor device, set to launch in the second half of 2025. Spot is designed for office-wide deployment, enabling smarter workspace automation by providing actionable insights into meeting room air quality. Something which also helps identify opportunities to reduce energy costs across meeting spaces and properties.

There were many more announcements and accreditations, it has inspired us to keep pushing, keep innovating how we design and develop products, following our vision, to create ‘solutions that don’t cost the earth.’

Until next year

ISE continues to set the standard in AV technology. There are mind blowing visuals, amazing audio and acoustic experiences throughout the show, in many ways 3 days simply isn’t long enough to take it all in, especially with such an impressive city as the backdrop. Until next year, we would like to thank the event organisers and partners for their hospitality throughout the event.

Loxit named Best of Show at ISE 2019

Loxit is thrilled to announce that the Hi-Lo® Mono Slimline Multi Position Fixed Height Wall Mount has won the prestigious ISE 2019 Best of Show accolade from Installation magazine.

Designed to recognise the most innovative new products on show at the RAI, the awards are judged by an independent panel of experts throughout ISE 2019.

The Hi-Lo® Mono Slimline is the latest member of the Mono family of popular single-column mounts. As with all Mono products, it offers rigid and stable support in an unobtrusive design, however the new mount also boasts a number of additional features.

Central to this is its slim form – it is just 125mm deep front to back – and power and data trunking, which allows the screen power and all peripheral cabling to be neatly and securely channelled within the central column, completely hidden from view, using either of the side gromets (left and right).

Handling screens of up to 130kg or 95in, the Hi-Lo® Mono Slimline is available in six pre-selected height options – floor to centre of screen 1310-1710mm – making it suitable for a wide variety of applications. It is also VESA ready with 75x75mm and 100x100mm pre-drilled mount patterns for ease of installation.

John Whittle, director at Loxit, said: “We are so pleased to once more be recognised as Best of Show by Installation. More than two decades of AV mount experience has gone into the design of the Hi-Lo® Mono Slimline and we believe it offers a solid, durable and aesthetically appealing option that makes it ideal for a wide range of environments.”

Magic Carpet wins Best of Show award at ISE 2017

Loxit was celebrating at ISE 2017 after being presented with a Best of Show award for the Magic Carpet interactive projection system. The display on the stand garnered huge amounts of attention during all four days of the show, with the App Builder feature a particular talking point due to its ease of use and the ability to add branding and new content, something seen as a particular benefit in a corporate setting.

The Best of Show awards are judged by independent industry figures. The judge who visited the Loxit stand praised Magic Carpet for its ease of set up, calling it a “simple but effective concept for indoor use, with loads of apps”.

Magic Carpet is designed for use in a wide variety of environments, including education, events, corporate and retail spaces. The fully integrated system is available as a simple to use plug and play mobile system and comes with 500 apps with 35 customisable app templates and 5,000 media assets, meaning opportunities for making your own content are virtually limitless.
