We are thrilled to be joining the Schoms community for another year. This years conference takes place at Ulster University on 17th and 18th June.

Who are Schoms?

Schoms is a professional representative body providing direction and support for technology enriched environments within higher and further education.  The organisation has 4 clear goals –

1. Enhance and improve the experience of spaces, technology, and media to support learning.

2. Influence industry, by continuing to develop an effective community of practice.

3. Be financially sustainable and provide value for members.

4. Provide opportunities for development and growth.

The Schoms members lead and manage a diverse set of educational, technological, media and institutional development and support services. Schoms events provide strategic direction to support technological trends and promote excellence in teaching and learning practices and their environments.

We love being a part of this experienced community. Together we evaluate emerging technologies, collaborate on pedagogic direction and innovative design of teaching spaces for the appropriate classroom technologies, AV equipment, room designs and support services that meet the current and future demands of Higher Education.

Every education institution deploys and manages these services from differing structural systems, Schoms has created a community of practice where these specialised and often unique roles can gather to exchange good practice and collaborate on common themes.

We are delighted to announce that we will be attending and exhibiting at the Annual Conference again this year.

The SCHOMS Annual Conference provides an excellent opportunity to network with like-minded professionals. This years event features an engaging programme with a range of topical themes.

Thanks to everyone at SCHOMS, all the conference attendees and partners for a wonderful week at the University of Birmingham. Some great conversations and insights into what AI will bring into the EdTech space.

Congratulations to Jon Stothard from the University of Leeds, who discovered the golden ticket in his bar of chocolate!

Jon has asked that we send the £100 prize to the Trussell Trust, helping them provide much needed food bank services.

We are proud to announce that we will be sponsoring the SCHOMS lunch at ISE (Integrated Systems Europe).

We believe that this is a great way to escape from the hustle and bustle of the show floor. An opportunity to relax and recharge, enjoying some down time and catching up with other members of SCHOMS.
