If you can hear a clicking sound then power is getting to the unit.Is power getting to the unit? *NoYesAre any lights illuminated in the motor box?On newer models (post summer 2016) you can see a green light illuminated in the motor box when you view it from the underside (see image). Is the light visible?NoYesCheck the plug components are fully engaged. The plug is made up of an EU plug fitting into a UK plug. These need to be fully home. Sometimes they can become disconnected if the lead has been stretched when the lift is operated, or prior to installation during handling. Are the components fully engaged?NoYesCheck the mains cable has not separated at the splitter point.Beneath the motor there is a figure of 8 connector - a fail safe mechanism that will disconnect if the lead is pulled too tightly. Is the fail safe mechanism still connected?NoYesCheck the fuseIs the fuse intact?NoYesCheck the power supplyTry a different socket. Is the power supply ok?NoYesIf you can operate the unit with the rocker switch on the motor box but not using the remote toggle switch then it may be that the toggle switch has become disconnected inside the motor box.Can you operate the unit with the remote toggle switch?NoYesCheck for a loose connection within the motor box.If the lift does have a hatch door on the underside (post summer 2016):The inner components can be accessed through a ‘hatch door’ on the underside of the unit. This is removed with an allen key and screw driver.Inside, check that the green light is illuminated on the transformer which is fitted on the underside of the hatch door.Once the door is opened, you can also check that the blue light is illuminated on the RF box and when the lift is operated that a red light illuminates below it, (see below images).Check all the connections that run in and out of the three boxes are fully engaged. If the lift does not have a hatch door on the underside (pre summer 2016):Remove the unit from the wall. This is required in order to access and open the back plateOnce this is opened you can check inside the motor box that the red light is illuminated on the transformer (long box that sits across the bottom). You can also check that the blue light is illuminated on the RF box and, when the switch is operated, that a red light illuminates below it.Check all connections that run in and out of the three boxes are fully engagedPlease choose from the following issuesThe lift is dropping slightly on one sideThere is a clicking sound when the lift is operated but no movementThe Easy Install Kit was not usedThe tape has not been removed from the limit switchesIs the lift dropping on one side?It could be that the spindle has become detached during transit. It will need to be re-attached and then the grub screw tightened. Call Loxit for instructions if needed 01625 856801.Is there a clicking sound when the lift is operated, but no movement? In order to work correctly there needs to have been a load in excess of 25Kg on the lift when it is first operated. If you have power to the unit but no movement the lift may just require a re-set procedure to be performed. To carry our a re-set the unit should be unplugged from the wall for 30 seconds then plugged back in. Pull down sharply with reasonable force on the motor box (not the screen) whilst at the same time operating the unit up or down with the toggle switch. If this does not work try again using the toggle switch in the opposite direction to that tried on the first attempt.Easy Install - Has the Easy Install Kit has been used? This must be used to ensure the columns are set perfectly straight and parallel enabling the motor to run up and down freely.Limit Switches - Has the tape been removed from limit switches? When the lift was installed the tape on the limit switches on the side of the motor box should have been removed. Look in between the leg and motor and ensure there is no tape on the switches. After attending to the issue, has this solved your problem?NoYesThank you for using this Loxit troubleshooting guide. Are you currently on site attending to the issue?YesNoPlease call us immediately on 01625 856801 so we can help you further.Office hours are 8.30am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday. If you are unable to further attend to the issue right now, or it is currently outside of office hours, please open a ticket with our support team.
